የአሜሪካዋ ፍሎሪዳ ግዛት አስተዳዳሪ እና ተጽዕኖ ፈጣሪው ፖለቲካኛ ሮን ዲሳንቲስ ትውልደ ሶማሊያዊቷ ኢልሃን ኦማር ዜግነቷን ተነጥቃ ከአገር እንድትባረር ጠየቁ።

ሮን ዲሳንቲስ የአሜሪካ የኮንግረስ አባሏ ኢልሃን ኦማር ከአገር እንድትባረር የጠየቁት ፖለቲከኛዋ በአንድ የሶማሊያ ማኅበረሰብ መሪዎች ስብሰባ ላይ ያደረገችውን ንግግር ተከትሎ ነው።

የዲሞክራቲክ ፓርቲ አባል እና የሜኒሶታ ግዛት ተወካይ የሆነችው ኢልሃን አነጋጋሪ የሆነውን ንግግር ያደረገችው ባለፈው ቅዳሜ ከሶማሊያ ማኅበረሰብ መሪዎች ጋር በአንድ ሆቴል ውስጥ በተደረገ ስብሰባ ላይ ነበር።

በማኅበራዊ ሚዲያ ላይ በስፋት ተዘዋውሮ መነጋገሪያ በሆነው ንግግሯ ከአንድ ወር በፊት ከሶማሊያ ነጻ አገርነቷን ያወጀችው ሶማሊላንድ ከኢትዮጵያ ጋር የባሕር በርን በተመለከተ የደረሰችውን ስምምነት በመቃወም ሃሳቧን ሰንዝራለች።
ኢልሃን የሶማሊያን ጥቅም ለማስከበር በአሜሪካ ምክር ቤት ውስጥ ያላትን ቦታ በመጠቀም አስፈላጊውን ሁሉ እንደምታደርግ ተናግራ፤ “ከልጆቻችሁ አንዷ በኮንግረስ ውስጥ የእናንተን ጥቅም ለመወከል ትገኛለች። በአሜሪካ ምክር ቤት ውስጥ እስካለሁ ድረስ ሶማሊያ ስጋት አይገጥማትም፣ የባሕር በሯ በኢትዮጵያም ሆነ በሌላ የአይወሰድም. . .” ስትል ተደምጣለች።

ኢልሃን በንግግሯ “መጀመሪያ ሶማሌ ነኝ በቀመጠል ሙስሊም” ብላ መናገሯ አሜሪካውያን ፖለቲከኞችን የበለጠ ያበሳጨ ሆኗል።

Ron DeSantis called for US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar to be deported following her speech at a meeting of Somali community leaders.

Ilhan, a member of the Democratic Party and Minnesota state representative, made the controversial speech last Saturday at a meeting with Somali community leaders at a hotel.

In her widely circulated speech on social media, Somaliland, which declared its independence from Somalia a month ago, expressed her opinion against the agreement reached with Ethiopia regarding the sea gate.
Ilhan said that she will use her position in the US Council to do whatever is necessary to protect the interests of Somalia. “One of your children is here to represent your interests in Congress. As long as I am in the American Council, Somalia will not face any threat, its sea gate will not be taken by Ethiopia or elsewhere. . .” she was heard saying.

Ilhan said in her speech, “I am a Somali first, then a Muslim.”
