የኢትዮጵያ አየር መንገድ ወደ እስያ አገራት ለሚያደርጋቸው በረራዎች ይጠቀምበት በነበረው የሶማሊያ የአየር ክልል በኩል መብረር ማቆሙን አስታወቀ።

አየር መንገዱ እዚህ ውሳኔ ላይ የደረሰው ከሶማሊያ የአየር ትራፊክ ተቆጣጣሪዎች “አስተማማኝ የአየር ትራፊክ አገልግሎት” ባለማግኘቱ እንደሆነ ዋና ሥራ አስፈጻሚው አቶ መስፍን ጣሰው ለቢቢሲ አማርኛ ተናግረዋል።

ኢትዮጵያ አየር መንገድ ወደ እስያ ለሚደርጋቸው በረራዎች “ሙሉ በሙሉ በሚባል ደረጃ” ይጠቀምበት በነበረው የሶማሊያ አየር ክልል መብረር ያቆመው፤ የአየር መንገዱ አውሮፕላን ባለፈው ሳምንት ቅዳሜ የካቲት 16/2016 ዓ.ም. በአገሪቱ የአየር ክልል ውስጥ ካጋጠመው ክስተት ጋር በተያያዘ መሆኑን አቶ መስፍን አስታውሰዋል።

ኢትዮጵያ አየር መንገድ ዋና ሥራ አስፈጻሚ አቶ መስፍን፤ “በዓለም አቀፍ አሠራር መሠረት እንደዚህ ዓይነት ነገር ሲያጋጥም ለሚመለከታቸው የሲቪል አቪየሽን ባለሥልጣናት ሪፖርት እናደርጋለን። [የቅዳሜውን ክስተት በተመለከተም] ለሶማሊያ እና ለኢትዮጵያ የሲቪል አቪየሽን ባለሥልጣናት ሪፖርት ተደርጓል” ሲሉ ለቢቢሲ ተናግረዋል። ይሁንና እስካሁን ድረስ በጉዳዩ ላይ የተሰጠ ምላሽ አለመኖሩን አክለዋል።

የቅዳሜ ዕለቱ ክስተት የኢትዮጵያ አየር መንገድ በሶማሊያ አየር ትራፊክ ተቆጣጣሪዎች የሚሰጠውን አገልግሎት “አስተማማኝ ሆኖ እንዳያገኘው” ማድረጉን አቶ መስፍን ገልጸዋል።

በዚህም ምክንያት ይህ ክስተት ካጋጠመበት ማግስት እሁድ የካቲት 17/2016 ዓ.ም. አንስቶ የኢትዮጵያ አየር መንገድ የሶማሊያን አየር ክልል መጠቀም ለማቆም መወሰኑን አስታውቀዋል።

Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it has stopped flying through Somalia’s airspace, which it used for its flights to Asian countries.

Ato Mesfen stated that the incident on Saturday made Ethiopian Airlines’ service provided by Somalia air traffic controllers “unsafe”.

As a result, the day after this incident happened, Sunday, February 17/2016. He announced that Ethiopian Airlines has decided to stop using Somalia’s airspace.
