በፊንላንድ ቫንታ ከተማ ውስጥ በሚገኝ አንድ ትምህርት ቤት የ12 ዓመት ታዳጊ ሶስት ተማሪዎችን በጥይት ማቁሰሉን ፖሊስ አስታወቀ።

ፖሊስ ቪየርቶላ በተሰኘው ትምህርት ቤት ከጥዋቱ ሶስት ሰዓት በፊት ለተፈጠረው ክስተት ምላሽ ለመስጠት እንዳቀና እና የአካባቢው ነዋሪዎችም በቤት ውስጥ እንዲቆዩ አሳስቧል።

ተጠርጣሪው የ12 ዓመቱ ታዳጊ መጀመሪያ ቢሸሽም በኋላ ግን በፖሊስ ቁጥጥር መዋሉ ተገልጿል።

በትምህርት ቤቱ 800 ተማሪዎች የሚማሩበት ሲሆን 90 ሰራተኞችም አሉት።

ከጥቃቱ በኋላም ተማሪዎቹ ከክፍሎቻቸው እንዳይወጡ እንደተነገራቸው ዋይ ኤልኢ የተሰኘው ሚዲያ ዘግቧል።

ተማሪዎቹ የስቅለት፣ ፋሲካ በዓላትን አክብረው ከዋናዋ መዲና በስተሰሜን ቫንታ በሚገኘው ትምህርት ቤታቸው የተመለሱት በዛሬው ዕለት ነበር።

ፖሊስ እንደተናገረው ተጠርጣሪው ታዳጊ ጥቃቱን ከፈጸመ በኋላ ሮጦ የሸሸ ቢሆንም በመጨረሻም በሰሜን ሄልሲንኪ በሚገኝ ወንዝ አካባቢም በቁጥጥር ስር ውሏል ተብሏል።

ታዳጊው የጦር መሳሪያም ይዞ የነበረ ሲሆን በቁጥጥር ስር ከዋለም በኋላ መሳሪያውን እንደተወሰደበትም ተነግሯል።

ሶስቱ ህጻናት የደረሰባቸውን ጉዳት በተመለከተ እስካሁን ዝርዝር መረጃ አልተሰጠም።

የአገሪቱ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ፔቴሪ ኦርፖ የደረሰው ጥቃት በጣም እንዳሳዘናቸው ገልጸው፤ ከተጎጂዎች፣ ከቤተሰቦቻቸው እና ከትምህርት ቤቱን ማህበረሰብ ጎን ነኝ ብለዋል።

ትምህርት ቤቱ ከ7-15 ዓመት የሚሆኑ የአንደኛ እና የመካከለኛ ደረጃ ተማሪዎች የሚማሩበት ነው።

A 12-year-old boy shot and wounded three students at a school in Vantaa, Finland, police said.

Police responded to the incident at the Viertola school just before 3 a.m. and urged residents to stay indoors.

The suspect, a 12-year-old boy, ran away at first, but was later apprehended by the police.

The school has 800 students and 90 employees.

After the attack, the students were told not to leave their classrooms, according to YLE media.

The students returned to their school in Vantaa, north of the capital city, after celebrating Easter.

Police said the suspect, a teenager, ran away after committing the attack, but was eventually arrested near a river in northern Helsinki.

The teenager was also carrying a weapon and it was said that the weapon was taken from him after he was arrested.

Details of the injuries suffered by the three children have not yet been released.

The Prime Minister of the country, Petri Orpo, expressed that he was very saddened by the attack. He said he stands by the victims, their families and the school community.

The school is for elementary and middle school students aged 7-15.
