ግጭት ከተነሳባቸው የአላማጣ ከተማ፣ ዛታ እና ኦፍላ የራያ ወረዳዎች የተፈናቀሉ ሰዎች ቁጥር 50 ሺህ መድረሱን የተባበሩት መንግሥታት ድርጅት የሰብዓዊ እርዳታ ማስተባበሪያ ጽህፈት ቤት አስታወቀ።

ተፈናቃዮቹ የተጠለሉባቸውን የዞን ባለሥልጣናት ዋቢ አድርጎ ጽህፈት ቤቱ ሰኞ ሚያዝያ 14/2016 ዓ.ም. ባወጣው ሪፖርት መሠረት ከተፈናቃዮቹ መካከል 42 ሺህ የሚሆኑ በሰሜን ወሎ በምትገኘው ቆቦ ከተማ እንዲሁም 8300 የሚሆኑት ደግሞ በሰቆጣ እና ዋግ ኽምራ ዞኖች ተጠልለዋል ብሏል።

በአብዛኛው ሴቶች፣ ህጻናት፣ ታዳጊዎች እና አረጋውያንን ያሉበት ተፈናቃዮች በማኅበረሰቡ ባሉ ቤቶች ለመጠለል እየሞከሩ እንደሆነ ገልጾ፣ ሌሎች ደግሞ ከቆቦ ከተማ ሦስት ኪሎ ሜትር ርቀት በሚገኝ ጋራ ሌንጫ በተሰኘው የኢንዱስትሪ መንደር ክፍት ቦታ ላይ ተጠልለው ይገኛሉ ተብሏል።

በዚህ ስፍራ የተጠለሉ ተፈናቃዮች በአስቸጋሪ ሁኔታ ለበልግ ዝናብ መጋለጣቸውን የጠቀሰው የመንግሥታቱ ድርጅት መግለጫ የተወሰኑትን ተፈናቃዮች ወደ ሌላ ስፍራ ለማዘዋወር እየተሞከረ እንደሆነ መሬት ላይ ያሉ አጋሮቹን ዋቢ አድርጓል ጠቅሷል።

የፌደራል ኃይሎች ጣልቃ መግባታቸውን ተከትሎ በአላማጣ፣ ወልዲያ እና ቆቦ ከተሞች አካባቢ ከትናንትና ሚያዝያ 14/ 2016 ዓ.ም ጀምሮ የፀጥታው ሁኔታ የተረጋጋ መሆኑም ተገልጿል።

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced that the number of people displaced from the conflict-torn Alamata city, Zata and Raya districts has reached 50,000.

On Monday, April 14/2016, the office referred to the zonal authorities where the evacuees were sheltered. According to the report, 42,000 of the evacuees have taken refuge in Kobo city in North Wolo, and 8,300 have taken shelter in the zones of Skota and Wag Khmra.

He said that the evacuees, mostly women, children, teenagers and the elderly, are trying to take shelter in houses in the community, while others are said to be taking shelter in the open space of Gara Lencha, an industrial village three kilometers from Kobo city.

The statement of the Organization of Governments, which mentioned that the refugees sheltered in this place were exposed to the rains in a difficult situation, referred to the partners on the ground that they are trying to move some of the displaced people to other places.

Following the intervention of federal forces, the security situation in Alamata, Woldia and Kobo cities has been stable since yesterday and April 14/2016.
