በአዲግራት ሆስፒታል ነርስ የሆነችው ሲስተር ካህሳ ሀጎስ በትግራይ ጦርነት ወቅት ጾታዊ ጥቃት ለደረሰባቸው ሴቶች ላደረገችው ሙያዊና ሰብአዊ ድጋፍ ግሎባል አፌይርስ ከተባለው የካናዳ ድርጅት ሽልማት ተበርክቶላታል።

ድርጅቱ የካናዳ ዲፕሎማሲያዊ እና ቆንስላ ትብብሮችን የሚያስተዳድር ሲሆን የሀገሪቱን አለም አቀፍ ንግድ የሚያስፋፋ እና አለም አቀፍ ልማት እና ሰብአዊ እርዳታን የሚመራ መንግስታዊ ክፍል ነው።

ሲስተር ካህሳ ሀጎስ፤ የካናዳ ድርጅት ከተባበሩት መንግስታት ጋር በመተባበር የሚያበረክተው “ሰላምና ደህንነት በሴቶች” የተሰኘው ሽልማት ተቀባይ ሆናለች።

ካህሳ “ከ2013 ጀምሮ ላበረከትኩት አስተዋጽዖ የተሰጠኝ ነው። ለሁለት ዓመታት ያህል የፆታዊ ጥቃት ሰለባዎችን እንከባከብ ነበር” ስትል ለቢቢሲ ተናግራለች።

የትግራይ ኃይሎች እና የኢትዮጵያ መከላከያ ሰራዊት ለሁለት ዓመታት ባደረጉት ጦርነት ምክንያት በርካታ ሴቶች፣ እናቶች እና ሕፃናት የፆታዊ ጥቃት ሰለባ መሆናቸውን በርካታ የሰብዓዊ መብት ድርጅቶች አረጋግጠዋል።

Sister Kahsa Hagos, a nurse at Adigrat Hospital, received an award from the Canadian organization Global Affairs for her professional and humanitarian support to women who were sexually assaulted during the Tigray war.

The organization manages Canada’s diplomatic and consular relations and is a government department that promotes the country’s international trade and international development and humanitarian aid.

Sister Kahsa Hagos; She is the recipient of the “Peace and Security by Women” award, which is a Canadian organization in collaboration with the United Nations.

Kahsa said, “I am honored for my contribution since 2013. “I was looking after victims of sexual abuse for two years,” she told the BBC.

Several human rights organizations have confirmed that many women, mothers and children have been victims of sexual violence as a result of the two-year war between the forces of Tigray and the Ethiopian Defense Forces.
