ፕሬዝዳንት አብድል ፋታህ አል-ሲሲ

ፕሬዝዳንቱ ትናንት ከሶማሊያው አቻቸው ጋር በሁለትዮሽ ጉዳዮች ከተነጋገሩ በኋላ በሰጡት ጋዜጣዊ መግለጫ ግብፅ ጣልቃ እንድትገባ ከተጠየቀች ከሶማሊያ ጎን ትሰለፋለች ብልዋል።

ፕሬዝዳንቱ ይህን ያሉት ኢትዮጵያ የባሕር በር ያስገኝላታል የተባለው የመግባቢያ ሠነድ ከራስ ገዟ ሶማሊላንድ ጋር ከተፈራረመች በኋላ ነው።

አል-ሲሲ ኢትዮጵያ ላይ ያነጣጠረውን አስተያየት ከሰጡ በኋላ የጠቅላይ ሚንስትር ዐቢይ አሕመድ የብሔራዊ ደኅንነት አማካሪ አምባሳደር ሬድዋን ሁሴን ስምምነቱ በሶማሊያ ላይ የደኅንነት ስጋት የሚፈጥር አለመሆኑን ገልጸው፤ በቀጠናው ያሉ አንዳንድ ኃይሎች አጀንዳ በአፍሪካ ቀንድ ቀውስ መፍጠር ነው ብለዋል።

ፕሬዝዳንት አብድል ፋታህ አል-ሲሲ አገራቸው ግብጽ በሶማሊያም ሆነ በጸጥታዋ ላይ ምንም አይነት የደኅንነት ስጋት እንዲፈጠር አትፈቅድም ሲሉ ተናገሩ።

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said that his country, Egypt, will not allow any security threat to Somalia or its security.

In a press conference yesterday after discussing bilateral issues with his Somali counterpart, the president said that if Egypt is asked to intervene, it will side with Somalia.

The president said this after Ethiopia signed a memorandum of understanding with the independent Somaliland, which is said to give it a sea port.

After al-Sisi made his comments aimed at Ethiopia, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s national security adviser, Ambassador Redwan Hussain, stated that the agreement does not pose a security threat to Somalia. He said that the agenda of some forces in the region is to create a crisis in the Horn of Africa.
