በስፔን የተገደለው አንድ ግለሰብ ሩሲያን ከድቶ ወደ ዩክሬን ኮብልሏል የተባለው ሩሲያዊ ፓይለት መሆኑ ተገለጸ።

ማስኪም ኩዝሚኖቭ ባለፈው ዓመት ነበር የጦር ሄሊኮፕተሩን እያበረረ ወደ ዩክሬን ግዛት ዘልቆ በመግባት እጁን የሰጠው።

የስፔን ፖሊስ ባለፈው ሳምንት በአሊካንቴ ግዛት አቅራቢያ ስለተገደለው ሰው ማንነት በይፋ አልገለጸም።

ሆኖም የዩክሬን ደኅንነት የተገደለው ግለሰብ ሩሲያዊው ፓይለት ኩዝሚኖቭ መሆኑን ሰኞ እለት አረጋግጧል።

የደኅንነት ቃለ አቀባይ ለዩክሬን ጋዜጣ ዩክሬይንስካ ፕራቭዳ እንደተናገሩት” [ፓይለቱ] መሞቱን አረጋግጠናል… በዩክሬን ከመቆየት ይልቅ በስፔን ለመኖር ወስኖ ሄደ” ብለዋል።

“እኛ የምናውቀው ነገር ቢኖር የቀድሞ የትዳር አጋሩን አብራው እንድትኖር ከጠራት በኋላ በጥይት ተመትቶ መገኘቱን ነው” ብለዋል።

የስፔን ባለስልጣናት በበኩላቸው ሟቹ በሐሰተኛ የማንነት ሽፋን ሳይኖር እንዳልቀረ ለቢቢሲ ተናግረዋል።

የኩዝሚኖቭ አስክሬን በስፔን ምስራቃዊ የባህር ጠረፍ በምትገኘው በቪላጆዮካ ከተማ በሚገኝ የመኖሪያ ስፍራ የተገኘ ሲሆን አብሮት የተገኘውም የማንነት ሰነድ ትክክለኛ ዜግነቱን ቢያረጋግጥም የሰፈረው ስም ሌላ እንደሆነ የስፔን የዜና ወኪል ኢፌ ዘግቧል።

A person who was killed in Spain was a Russian pilot who allegedly defected to Russia and defected to Ukraine.

Maskim Kuzminov surrendered last year after flying a military helicopter into Ukrainian territory.

Spanish police have not publicly released the identity of the man killed last week near the province of Alicante.

However, Ukrainian security confirmed on Monday that the man killed was Russian pilot Kuzminov.

“We have confirmed that [the pilot] is dead … he decided to go live in Spain instead of staying in Ukraine,” a security spokesperson told Ukrainian newspaper Ukrainska Pravda.

“All we know is that he was found shot dead after inviting his ex-partner to live with him,” he said.

Spanish authorities have told the BBC that the dead man may not have been under cover of a false identity.

Kuzminov’s body was found in a residential area in the city of Villajoica on the east coast of Spain, and the identity document found with him confirmed his true nationality, but the name of the settlement was different, Spanish news agency Efe reported.

The car used by the killers was found burnt near the scene of the crime, the Spanish intelligence agency told the news agency Efe.

Before Kuzminov defected to Russia, he spoke to Ukrainian intelligence about his decision.
