የሶማሊያ ፓርላማ ከሳምንት በፊት ከቱርክ ጋር የተፈረመውን የመከላከያ እና የምጣኔ ሃብት ስምምነትን አጽድቋል። የዚህ ስምምነት ሙሉው ዝርዝር ይፋ ባይደረግም በተለይ በመከላከያ ዘርፍ ቱርክ የሶማሊያን ባሕር ኃይልን ለማጠናከር እና የአገሪቱን የባሕር ጠረፍ በጋራ ለመጠበቅ ከስምምነት መደረሱ ተነግሯል።

ቱርክ አንካራ ውስጥ የሁለቱ አገራት የመከላከያ ሚኒስትሮች ስምምነቱን የተፈራረሙት ኢትዮጵያ ነጻነቷን ካወጀችው ሶማሊላንድ ጋር የመግባቢያ ሰነድ ተፈራርማ ከሶማሊያ ጋር ውዝግብ ከተቀሰቀሰ ከአንድ ወር በኋላ ነው።

በሶማሊያ እና በቱርክ መካከል የተደረሰው ስምምነት ለአስር ዓመታት የሚቆይ ነው። ቱርክ የሶማሊያን የባሕር ኃይል በማሠልጠን የምታስታጥቅ ሲሆን፣ የሶማሊያን የባሕር ጠረፍን ለመጠበቅም የራሷን የባሕር ኃይል በአካባቢው እንደምታሰማራ ተነግሯል።

ቢቢሲ ሶማሊኛ ባገኘው ሪፖርት መሠረት የቱርክ ወታደራዊ መርከቦች በቅርቡ ወደ ሶማሊያ የባሕር ግዛት በመድረስ የሚሰማሩ ይሆናል።

ለአስርታት በእርስ በርስ ጦርነት እና ባለመረጋጋት ውስጥ የቆየችው ሶማሊያ ከቱርክ ጋር በደረሰችው ወታደራዊ ስምምነት ሽብርተኝነትን፣ የባሕር ላይ ውንብድናን፣ ሕገወጥ አሳ ማስገርን እና በአካባቢው በቅርቡ የተከሰቱ ስጋቶችን ለመከላከል አቅም ይፈጥርላታል ተብሏል።

Somalia’s parliament approved the defense and economic agreement signed with Turkey a week ago. The agreement between Somalia and Turkey is valid for ten years. Turkey is training and arming the Somali navy, and it is said that it will deploy its own navy in the area to protect the coast of Somalia.

According to a report obtained by BBC Somali, Turkish military ships will soon arrive in Somalia’s maritime territory and deploy.

After decades of civil war and instability, Somalia’s military deal with Turkey is said to give it the ability to combat terrorism, piracy, illegal fishing and other recent threats in the region.
