በርካታ ኢትዮጵያውያን ስደተኞችን ይዛ ከጂቡቲ ወደ የመን በማቅናት ላይ የነበረች ጀልባ ኤደን ባሕረ ሰላጤ ውስጥ ሰጥማ የ38 ሕይወት አለፈ።

አደጋው የደረሰው ትናንት ሰኞ መጋቢት 30/2016 ዓ.ም. ኢትዮጵያውያኑን አሳፍራ ከጅቡቲ ወደ የመን ስትጓዝ ነው ጀልባዋ የመስመጥ አደጋ ያጋጠማት።

በጅቡቲ የሚገኘው የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ በሰሜን ምሥራቅ ከሚገኘው የአገሪቱ ክፍል ተነስታ ጉዞዋን ወደ የመን አቅጣጫ አድርጋ የነበረችው ጅልባ 60 ኢትዮጵያውያንን አሳፍራ ነበር ብሏል።

የተባበሩት መንግሥታት የስደተኞች ድርጅት በአደጋው ሕይወታቸው ያለፉ ሰዎችን ዜግነትን በተመለከተ ያለው ነገር ባይኖርም፤ ከሟቾቹ መካከል ሕጻናት እንደሚገኙበት ገልጾ 22 ሰዎች በሕይወት ተገኝተዋል ብሏል።

የተባባሩት መንግሥታት የፍልሰተኞች ድርጅት (አይኦኤም) በጀልባዋን ላይ ተሳፍረው የነበሩ ሰዎችን ቁጥር 64 የሚያደርሰው ሲሆን፣ ሕይወታቸው ሳያልፍ አይቀርም የተባሉ ተጨማሪ 6 ሰዎች የገቡበት አልታወቀም ብሏል።

በጅቡቲ የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ አደጋው ወደ ደረሰበት ስፍራ በመጓዝ የአደጋውን መንስኤ በማጣራት ላይ እንደሚገኝም ጨምሮ ገልጿል።
