የሶማሊያ የባሕር ላይ ወንበዴዎች አግተን የነበረውን የባንግላዴሽ ባንዲራን የምታውለበልብ መርከብ እና ሠራተኞቿን ለማስለቀቅ 5 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ተቀበልን አሉ።

ኤምቪ አብዱላህ የምትባለው ዕቃ ጫኝ መርከብ የድንጋይ ከሰል ጭና ከሞዛምቢክ ወደ ተባበሩት አረብ ኤሜሬቶች እየተጓዘች ሳለች ነበር በሶማሊያ የባሕር ዳርቻ ላይ በባሕር ወንበዴዎች የታገተችው።

መርከቧን አግተው የቆዩት የባሕር ላይ ወንበዴዎቹ መርከቧን እና 23 የመርከቧን ሠራተኞች ለማስለቀቅ 5 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ተቀብለናል ብለዋል።

ይሁን እንጂ የመርከቡ ባለቤቶች በድርድር መርከቧን መለቀቋን ቢያምኑም ገንዘቡን ስለመክፈላቸው ያሉት ነገር የለም።

ከቅርብ ወራት ወዲህ በሶማሊያ የባሕር ክልል ውስጥ የመርከቦች እገታ ቁጥር ጭማሪ እያሳየ ነው። በተለይ ካለፈው ኅዳር 2016 ዓ.ም. ጀምሮ በርካታ መርከቦች ታግተዋል።

የደኅንነት ተንታኞች እንደሚሉት ከሆነ የባሕር ላይ ውንብድናው የጨመረው በአካባቢው የተለያዩ አገራት ጥምረት የባሕር ላይ ቅኝት የሚያደርጉ አካላት ትኩረታቸውን ወደ ቀይ ባሕር ላይ በማድረጋቸው ነው።

The pirates who seized the ship said they received $5 million to free the ship and its 23 crew members.

However, the owners of the ship admitted that they had released the ship through negotiations, but they did not say anything about paying the money.
