አቡነ ማር ማሪ ኢማኑዔል የአሲሪያን ኦርቶዶክስ ክራይስት ዘ ጉድ ሼፐርድ የተባለው ቤተ-ክርስቲያን ወግ አጥባቂ መሪ ናቸው።

በአቡኑ ላይ ጥቃት ያደረሰው ታዳጊ በምዕመናን ቁጥጥር ሥር ከዋለ በኋላ ለፖሊስ ተላልፎ ተሰጥቷል።

የሲድኒ ፖሊስ አቡነ ማር ማሪ ኢማኑዔል እና አባ ኢሳክ የተበሉ ቄስ ጥቃት ቢደርስባቸውም “ሕይወታችን አደጋ ላይ የሚጥል አይደለም” ብሏል።

ግርማ ሞገስ ያላቸው እና አነጋጋሪ ስብከት በማሰማት የሚታወቁ ናቸው የሚባሉት አቡነ ማር ማሪ ኢማኑዔል በተለይ በአውሮፓ 2020 የኮቪድ-19 ሕግጋትን በመቃወም ነው ታዋቂነትን ያተረፉት።
