ፕሬዝዳንት ጆ ባይደን በሜክሲኮ በኩል ወደ አሜሪካ የሚገቡ ስደተኞችን ለመቆጣጠር ያለመ አዲስ እና መጠነ ሰፊ ፕሬዝዳንታዊ ትዕዛዝ ዛሬ ማክሰኞ ይፋ ያደርጋሉ ተብሎ እየተጠበቀ ነው።

አዲሱ የፕሬዝዳንቱ ውሳኔ የአሜሪካ ኢሚግሬሽን ባለሥልጣናት በየዕለቱ ከሚመለከቱት በሕገ ወጥ መንገድ የገቡ የጥገኝነት ጠያቂዎች ቁጥር በላይ አመልካቾች ከቀረቡ ጥያቄያቸውን ሳይመለከቱ በቀጥታ ከአገር እንዲባረሩ ማድረግ የሚያስችል ሥልጣን ይሰጣል ተብሏል።

President Joe Biden is expected to announce a new and far-reaching executive order on Tuesday aimed at controlling immigration into the United States through Mexico.

The president’s new decision is said to give US immigration officials the authority to directly deport more applicants than the number of illegal asylum seekers they see every day.

That would allow border officials to limit the number of migrants entering the US, three unnamed sources told US BBC affiliate CBS.

In the last four years that President Biden has been in office, it is said that more than 6.4 million immigrants have tried to enter the United States illegally. That’s the highest it’s ever been, and it’s a challenge for Biden, who is running for re-election.

According to US media reports, Biden is now considering using the 1952 law to limit the US asylum system.

The law, known as 212(F), allows the president to “suspend” the entry of foreign nationals into the United States if they “pose a threat to the national interests of the country.”
