ከቻይና ጋር የጠበቀ ግንኙነት ያላት ጂቡቲ ከጥቂት ሳምንት በፊት እንዳባረቻቸው ቲም ሎውተን ገልጸዋል።

የምስራቅ ዎርቲንግ እና ሾረሃምን ግዛቶችን በመወከል የፓርላማ አባል የሆኑት ቲም ሎውተን ጂቡቲ ሲደርስ ከሰባት ሰዓታት በላይ በእስር መቆየታቸውን እና ወደ ጂቡቲ እንዳልገባ ተከልክያለሁ ብለዋል።

ከሶስት ዓመት በፊት በቻይና ማዕቀብ የተጣለባቸው ሎውተን በሁኔታው ብቸኝነት እንደተሰማቸው “በጣም አስፈሪ” እንደነበር ተናግረዋል።

የቻይና የውጭ ጉዳይ መስሪያ ቤት ክሱ መሰረተ ቢስ ነው ብሏል።

የፓርላማ አባሉ ወደ ጂቡቲ ያቀኑት ለአንድ ቀን አገሪቱን ለመጎብኘትና በአገሪቱ ከተቀመጡትም የዩናይትድ ኪንግደም አምባሳደር ጋር ለመገናኘት ነበር።

A UK Conservative MP says he has been banned from entering Djibouti for his criticism of China.

Djibouti, which has close ties with China, kicked them out a few weeks ago, Tim Lawton said.

Tim Lawton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, said he was detained for more than seven hours on arrival in Djibouti and was refused entry to Djibouti.

Lawton, who was sanctioned by China three years ago, said it was “terrifying” that he felt isolated.

China’s Foreign Ministry said the accusations were baseless.

The Member of Parliament was on his way to Djibouti for a one-day visit to the country and to meet with the UK Ambassador who is stationed in the country.
